End of life products

De-Bonding allows components to be removed intact, in minutes. In breakers yards where crushers are used, or where other recycling processes are employed, dismantling by De-Bonding will reduce breakage and the contamination of materials, contributing to the reduction of environmental pollution and CO2 problems.

Fast vehicle dismantling by De-Bonding

A European Directive in place from 2007 will demand vehicle manufacturers to cover the cost of dismantling their end of life vehicles. In addition, manufacturers must also ensure that recyclable components account for at least 85% of all new vehicles. As 12 million cars are scrapped every year in Europe, the industry faces a massive task, and estimate annual decommissioning costs in excess of $30bn.

By introducing thermally expandable microspheres to the manufacturing process, the subsequent removal of windscreens and all direct glazing, indeed any components fixed by adhesive, can be carried out quickly, reducing labour costs and breakages.
